The property at Orange Grove Bed and Breakfast is situated on a quiet country lane, just five minutes from Horsham’s busy CBD and half way between Melbourne and Adelaide. Not only do our guests enjoy the novelty of staying in an original Australian mud brick cottage, they relish the peace and quiet and the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings of the Grampians region, including its wildlife, stunning scenery, beautiful sunsets and gorgeous sunrises. Here are some other unique highlights of our property and location: Gardens: We have created a garden wonderland of traditional cottage and native species throughout the property. There are lots of little areas to sit and reflect, and quirky garden sculptures made from recycled farm machinery alongside other acquired treasures. We have a magnificent rose garden surrounding the mud brick cottage and 180 different varieties of iris. Animals: Animal lovers will enjoy the charming resident alpacas that welcome a treat from your hand, chooks that provide eggs for your breakfast and the quiet songs of colourful birdlife and lazy frogs. Orange Grove Shop: We even have a shop! Our guests can browse through our alpaca products like rugs, throws, pillows, scarves, toys and knitting wool; orange soap, chocolates, lollies and marmalade; and locally made cards, food produce and a choice of three delectable red wines. Attractions and Activities: For our adventurous guests, we are just 20 minutes from the Little Desert and Mount Arapiles and 40 minutes from the Grampians National Park. Add to this dozens of fantastic wineries, local produce outlets and arts and culture attractions throughout the region. Being just five minutes from the bustling service centre of Horsham, you also have access to great eateries, boutique shopping and cinema.
